October 15th Hunt (Rochester, NH)

Sunday October 15th Hunt and Meeting 8:30am to 2:00pm - 1243 Salmon Falls Rd., Rochester, NH

There are several fields on both sides of the road and within walking distance of the parking area. (See attached map)

Parking: Rocky Hill Road. This is a wide graded dirt road in back of one of the fields. This is on the corner of Haven Hill Road and Rocky Hill Road. (The other end of this road is in Somersworth.)  Please do not park anywhere else.  If you went to the Hunt in Rochester in April at the little church parking lot, then you will see that this is located on the same road near the Berwick, Maine line.

We have permission to detect on all the fields as noted on the map. Some were just cut the other day and some not long ago.

The fields on one side abut the Salmon Falls River near a small dam where there was a lot of activity in the late 1700's when they floated logs down the river for the King's masts.

Gentle reminders

Shovels: Please, no large shovels, only metal detecting shovels or smaller camp shovels.

Stay in fields and not near any buildings/houses.

Fill all holes.

Carry out all trash uncovered.

Leave no trace.
