May Hunt (May 19th, Sanbornton NH)

Site Details:

A couple hundred + acres of old farmland with 8 fields.  At least 4 cellar holes exist or have existed on various spots throughout the area.  The existing farm as well as the cellar holes are located on maps from the 1850’s, so the land goes back at least to that time and probably decades earlier.  The area is very hilly, so expect some up and down walking, and some of the distant fields are approximately a mile away from the parking area.  Mike & Persis have done some detecting here, and have found old coins, buttons, silver spoons, and other relics, but have only covered about 30% of the land.  Absolutely no detecting or digging in the cemetery on the lot.

The closest restrooms and food would be at Exit 20 around 8 minutes away.
