About the Event
Our next hunt will be Sunday, August 16, 9:00-3:00) in Fryeburg, ME. We plan to hunt at Weston's Beach on the Saco River, River Street in Fryeburg. This is a nice park with a large parking area, port-o-potties, and a long, sandy beach. The river itself has mostly a sand bottom, with some stones.
At this time there is an E-coli warning posted at Weston's Beach, but water testing has been done again today. We won't know the results for a day or two. If the warning is still in effect on Sunday, we will be able to have our meeting & detect at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds, 1154 Main Street.
Stay tuned for an update via email and in the newsletter. For either location feel free to bring a lawn chair if you think you might want to sit, sunscreen, bug spray and bottled water. As both sites are public and allow detecting, there will be no added fee for bringing a guest as is required for other hunts.
